After much hard work by the villagers, the first block of Mount Calvary Secondary School was opened in 2012, named Aidan's Block. Aidan O'Neill, the nephew of the Mtitu Foundation founder, was tragically killed in a road accident aged 12, and a fundraising campaign by his family in his memory raised enough money to buy the materials to complete the first block and open the school. Aidan's parents (pictured), brother and Auntie travelled to Mtitu to attend the opening ceremony.
