Volunteer

Volunteering at Bac Dubh is a great way to get out and meet like-minded people, and feel that you are making a difference for nature, people and climate. We have a schedule of volunteering days throughout the year and you are welcome to come along for part or all of the day. Our volunteering days are work parties, not boot camps! 

Examples of the sort of things that our volunteers might do are;

- helping with mapping and surveys of flora and fauna at Bac Dubh

- removing invasive non-native species e.g. rhododendron ponticum

- helping to construct footpaths

- peat restoration work e.g. installing peat grips to hold water on the peatland

- designing information panels and leaflets 

- making tea, coffee and refreshments
